Curry de Garbanzos(Chana Masala)/Cheakpeas Curry

El Chana Masala es un plato tipico de la cocina del norte de la India.Su ingrediente principal son los garbanzos (chana)y es un plato muy especiado con un marcado sabor citrico.

En India es un plato popular que se encuentra tanto en puestos callejeros como en restaurantes.Suele servirse acompañado de arroz, con pan Chapati o con cordero o pollo, vereis lo simple que es hacerlo con Thermomix, pero ya sabeis que de modo tradicional por supuesto lo podeis hacer.
Chana Masala is a typical dish from the North of India.Its main ingredient is cheakpea, and it´s a very spiced dish with marked citric flavour.In India is a popular dish wich is found in street stalls and restaurants.Often served beside rice, or chapati bread, lamb or chicken, you´ll see how easy is cooking it with Thermomix, but you also can do it in a traditional way.
Ingredientes/Ingredients:
  • 30 gr aceite de oliva/30 gr olive oil
  • 1 y 1/2 cda cominos/1 and 1/2 tbsp cumine seeds.
  • 200 gr cebolla en cuartos/200 gr onion in quarters
  • 2 dientes de ajo/2 cloves of garlic
  • 1 trozo de jengibre fresco(2,5 cm)/ 1 small piece of fresh ginger
  • 2 clavos/2 clove
  • 1 chile verde(opcional)/ 1 green chili pepper
  • 1 cda cilantro/1 tbsp cilantro
  • 1 cda curcuma/1tbsp turmeric
  • 1 cdta sal/1 tsp salt
  • 250 gr tomate triturado/250 gr can tomato
  • 1/2 cda Garam Masala/1/2 tbsp Garam Masala
  • 2 cdas pulpa tamarindo/2 tbsp tamarind pulp
  • 400 gr garbanzos cocidos, lavados y escurridos./ 400 gr cheakpeas(boiled and drained)
  • 3-4 ramitas cilantro/3-4 cilantro leaves.
Elaboración/Process:
  1. Pon en el vaso el aceite y los cominos y calienta 5 min/varoma/vel cuchara. /Add to the bowl oil and cumin seeds and heat for 5 min/varoma/spd spoon.
  2. Añade la cebolla,los ajos y el jengibre y trocea 5 seg/vel 4/.Sofrie 5 min/varoma/vel cuchara. /Add onion,garlic and ginger and chop 5 sec/spd 4.Cook for 5 min/varoma/spd spoon.
  3. Añade el clavo, chile,cilantro,curcuma,sal y tomate,Programa 5 min/varoma/vel cuchara./ Add clove,chile,cilantro,turmeric,salt and tomato, cook for 5 min/varoma/spd spoon.
  4. Añade el garam masala, pulpa de tamarindo y los garbanzos y programa 2 min/varoma/Inverso/vel cuchara.Retira del vaso y espolvorea cilantro picado fresco./ Add Garam masala, tamarind pulp,and cheakpeas, cook for 2 min/varoma/reverse/spd spoon, remove from the bowl and add fresh cilantro as garnish.
