Calamares a la Mallorquina Slow Cooker/ Mallorquin Squid Slow Cooker

Ya creo que después de tres intentos con mi Slow Cooker me han dado el aprobado para poder adaptar mis recetas a la olla, y he querido hacerlo con un plato típico de la isla, Calamares a la mallorquina, y asi probaba un guiso sin carne, el resultado de esperar, intenso sabor, lo podéis acompañar con arroz blanco y tenéis un montón de comida, para poder conservarlo y comerlo en otro día de la semana.
After 3 attempts with my Slow Cooker, I have been given approved for adapting my own recipes to the SC, and I have chosen one typical dish from my Island, Majorcan Squids, so I tried a no meat stew, and the result was perfect, intense flavor, serve with white rice, and you have a bunch of food in order to be able to keep and eat it another day for lunch or dinner.
  • 1 kg de calamares pequeños limpios y troceados/2 lb small squid, clean and in pieces.
  • 2 cebollas picadas/2 chopped onions
  • 3 dientes de ajo/3 cloves of garlic
  • 1 puerro/1 leek chopped
  • perejil/ chopped parsley 
  • 4 cucharadas de tomate triturado/ 4 tsp fresh tomatoes
  • 1 vasito vino para cocinar o cognac/1/2 cup cooking wine or cognac
  • 1 vasito agua/1/2 cup water
  • pasas/2 tbsp raisins
  • piñones/2 tbsp pine kernels
  • sal, pimienta, pimenton picante o dulce/salt, pepper, paprika to taste.
  • aceite de oliva/olive oil.


  1. Podriamos echar todo a la olla y cocinar, pero yo he preferido hacer un sofrito previo./ We could throw everything to the Slow cooker but I prefered to saute the veggies before just to give more taste to the dish.
  2. En una sarten con un poquito de aceite de oliva, sofreimos la cebolla, el puerro, el ajo, hasta que este pochado./In a pan saute the onions, garlic, and leek until is tender.
  3. Añadimos el tomate, el perejil, el agua, el vino,las pasas y los piñones y las especies y cocinamos 5 minutos./Add tomato, parsley, water and wine or cognac,raisins, pine leeks, the seasoning and cook for 5 minutes.
  4. Añadimos a la olla, y encima los calamares, mezclamos todo, y cocinamos por 6 horas en SLOW./Put it into the SC and add the squid, mix it all, and cook 6 hours in SLOW.
  5. Acompaña con arroz blanco/Serve with boiled rice.
